As we wrote in one of our previous blogs, you should never skip cleaning your skin! Keeping our skin healthy ensures a fresh appearance, cleaning it properly twice a day contributes to this, even if you use little or no makeup. After all, your face is the first thing someone else sees of you. Fortunately, we can't avoid getting older, but we all want to age a bit nicely, don't we?
At night, while we are sleeping comfortably, your skin is busy recovering, a good night's sleep contributes to healthy skin. If you don't sleep well, the stress hormone cortisol is released and this inhibits the production of collagen. Unfortunately, collagen production decreases as we age.
By properly cleaning your skin before going to sleep, you prepare your skin for a good recovery and the active ingredients of day and night creams are better absorbed.
Before going to sleep you first remove your eye makeup, for this you use a mild cleanser that is suitable for your eyes, but can also be suitable for the skin. Proceed carefully and work from the outside in. Scrubbing hard can damage your lashes and the delicate skin around your eyes.
Then remove your makeup, you can do this by wetting a soft washcloth and using it to remove the first layer of makeup. Then use a facial cleanser, which can be a gel , milk or oil . Apply to damp skin and massage in circular motions. Repeat if necessary. If necessary, rinse the skin with lukewarm water.
Pat your skin dry, don't rub hard. Then apply a good night cream that helps the skin to recover during your sleep.
The next morning you can cleanse your skin again with a mild cleanser so that the ingredients of your serum and moisturizer can penetrate the skin well so that you can start your new day fresh. :)
